    Tax all the repubs since Bush DOUBLED the national debt in 8 years when he was running the country. But repubs have there blinders on again i see. You talk shyt but have a VERY SHORT memory now don’t you.

    You are close to a solution.

    Tax everything except for basic necessities (food), and eliminate the income tax.

    If you want (and can afford) the new Porsche – you can afford to pay big taxes on it.

    If can’t afford it, and have to (or choose to) settle for something else, you pay less.

    Simple.

    I’ll gladly pay an extra tax on birkenstocks. I bought my last pair in 2002, wore them every summer for the last 8 years and they are still in excellent condition. best shoes I’ve purchased and it’s a tax i’d only have to pay every decade or so.
