They aren’t especially pretty, they’re a little pricey – so I’m curious if the lure is the comfort factor.
If you wear them, do you feel like they are more comfortable than most shoes? And what is your favorite style/color?
Thanks!

I bought my first pair a couple of years ago and found them so comfortable that I now have five pairs.
Yeah, they’re not really sexy, but if you find a style that suits the shape of your foot they’re not actually unattractive!
I like the Birkenstocks with the Papillio label because they seem more feminine to me!
As for style: Gizeh and Pisa suit me best. Oh, and you can often get them a little cheaper on Ebay.
You have to wear Birkenstocks for a couple of weeks before you actually feel the comfort. . . . they feel like practically rocks that first time that you buy them!
They are extremely comfortable afterwards to wear in the fall and winter. They go with almost everything which is why I get them in Mocha Brown color.
However, if you have a high arch, like I do, you start having a lot of muscle spasms and problems getting more painful and intense with your ankles and arch after a couple of months to a couple of years.
If you don’t have a high arch, then Birkenstocks are perfect!
I have a pair of Boston’s in the peat colour. They look great on my feet.
I also have a pair of Kairo’s in the colour black. I find the sole rest part is starting to go black. They are still amazingly comfortable. It’s like walking the streets in bare feet while giving the feet a constant massage.
I have never worn the Boston’s without socks, but will do during the warmer months with shorts. They are still worth the price.
