are newalk clogs made by birkenstock?

i’ve received a pair of clogs by the brand newalk, which i’ve heard is licensed by birkenstock. is this true??

Yes, they are made by Birkenstock. The Footprints, Tatami and Newalk lines are “sister” lines owned by Alex Birkenstock. Here’s an article that somewhat helps explain the confusion: http://www.teamdba.com/wst_page5.html
