After 5 weeks the strap on this very comfortable shoe broke (after very light wear)and there was not any recourse through Amazon (unless there is something i don’t know??) After feeling quite discouraged, a friend suggested that i call Birkenstock and they immediately took care of me. Thank you Birkenstock! The bottom line is that the shoe seems excellent if you don’t get a “lemon” (unfortunately i’m not the only one to have this happen. )

First, disregard a previous review that said that these are not a soft footbed . . . they are. This was my first purchase of the soft footbed, and I was unsure if I would like it or not. They turned out to be comfy and a little cushy. I have a pretty wide foot, and I ordered the Narrow in one size up from my summer Birk size. (I figured I would be wearing socks with them this winter. ) They fit perfectly. I like the style too, it looks slimmer than the normal Birks.

I ordered these and not even 2 months passed when my strap broke. Even worse, amazon will NOT refund them since they broke. . .

I picked thee up on sale and they are amazing! Comfy right out of the box. Very feminine and versatile. Mine absolutely did have the soft footbed and I couldn’t be happier!!

I love my Birkenstocks, all of them since I first started wearing them in the 70’s, and would have given these 5 stars as well but. . . I purchased these pretty Rosemead clogs specifically for the soft footbed that Amazon lists them as but unfortunately they were NOT the Soft Footbed Birks that I was expecting. That’s not to say they weren’t nice; they were just not Soft Footbed which are a specific type of Birkenstock footbed. If you have ever worn Birkentstock Soft Footbeds you whould understand why I was so disappointed and had to return them. So my 3 star rating is for Amazon, not Birkenstock. In all fairness to Amazon, they did accept my return easily and refunded promptly. If you don’t care about the footbed, these are very pretty Birks (I ordered the purple ~ just lovely!) and they look very feminine with the Mary Jane strap.
