Do they FEEL like Birkenstock sandals?

I like Birkenstocks. The really granola-y types are awesome. What I like most about them, though, is how comfortable they are and how they’re perfect for the Pacific Northwest summer weather. However, what I don’t like about them is the PRICE. I can’t afford them! Are there comparable, but less expensive, alternative brands to Birkenstocks?

If you recommend a brand, please tell me why you like them so much, an average price/where to find them, and how they compare to Birkenstocks.

Thank you!!!

I’ve never worn real Birkenstocks, (I agree, too expensive!) but many of the girls at school do. They looked really cute and I found some very similar ones at Payless Shoe Source. http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?skuId=047978070&productId=54444&subCatId=cat40124&catId=cat10088&lotId=047978&category=&catdisplayName=Womens+ There they are. They are a little hard around the edges, where the rim is, so when i stepped on them barefoot on accident, it really hurt! Other than that, they’re pretty soft with socks on, and they look great for any casual day! :) They were $24.99 at the store also. Good luck!

I ONLY wear the real things, but I NEVER pay the real price. Check out ebay. I have bought some for as cheap as $20 including S&H. Seriously, the real ones are the best, they last forever!

One tip, go to a store that sells them to be properly fitted. They use european sizes. Once you know your size, you are good to start shopping online. Also, try to buy a new pair as you will want to know what they look like brand new so you can buy “gently used” ones later without dissappointment.
