I am a conservative liberal. Liberal because I wear Birkenstock. Conservative because I do not like to…..?

spend money needlessly. My Birks are wearing out but I don’t want to buy new ones. So here’s the question….how and where can I get my Birkenstocks re-soled?

Oh I have a great place here in Nashville that does an amazing job of recorking Birks. Ok I’m sure you don’t want to come all the way here to do it. . . . . . but, what I’m saying is that it is nothing more than a normal shoe cobbler and they do a fabulous job. So I’m pretty sure that where ever you are there are shoe repair places that can do the same. Save yourself some time by calling ahead and asking. I have no doubt you’ll find some success. You don’t want knew ones. . . . . . the old Birks have molded to your feet. . . . . . you soooo don’t wanna start over!

    Good luck. . . . . . hope it works. :)

Look in your good old fashioned phone book under shoe repair or dry cleaners if there is not a shoe repairer in your area. I swear they exist. Or you could always try googling for the best price.
    Peace.

My sister-in-law had hers re-soled at a shoe shop. She was delighted with what a good job they did for $50. Maybe it’s just me (a non-Birkenstock- wearing liberal conservative tight wad) but I thought she would have been better off buying a new pair. Hers were only $99 brand new. I’d like to know what a liberal Birkenstock-wearing conservative condiment thinks.

I have had a pair rebuilt and I did not like how they looked. Looking around the internet I found bargains like Arizonas for $29. 00, the real thing. Ebay is a good place to get leads for those shops that will bargain with you a little. Sierra Trading Post is a good place to check. Birk. com will do the repairs by mail and that is really convenient. The last pair I bought were $50 free shipping from a ladies catalog; still a good deal. Best of luck to you!!

I am a nay-saying yes man who has never worn Birkenstocks. In short, I have no clue where you can resole your Birks. Isn’t Yahoo a wonderful sight for getting clear concise answers by informed and knowledgeable contributors? I feel better for admitting to this. Confession is good for the sole.
