   if she doesn’t like that look try it with sandals…but occasionally do your on style

   Every person has their own opinion of what they like to wear and what looks good to them. I have no idea what an SO is, but whoever she is, do not let her put a damper on YOUR personal style. I think it should not matter if she says they look like mary janes or not, if you like wearing them that way then that is your prerogative

   you should never wear birkenstocks, unless you are dressing as a granola munching hippie tree hugger for halloween. and you should never wear white socks unless they are completely covered by your pants all the way to your shoes, even when you sit down.
