Going to be working Anime Expo convention, on my feet all day for a week. Then flying to Japan a few weeks later, going to be walking all over the place for a month. Any shoes must be capable of dealing with at least a little rain.
I have high arches, and I’m used to having my feet ache a little at the end of the day- but heck if I’m gonna suffer that when I’m out in Japan.
I don’t mind breaking in shoes, but I want my efforts to be worthwhile.

I have both brands of these shoes. . . they are both very comfortable, but I would go with Keen because they are more versatile (i. e. style, comfort, etc. ).
I wore Keen (sock-less) on a recent trip to Kauai. On the first day I wore them (without breaking them in prior to my trip), my feet did not hurt at all after a long day of hiking and *kayaking. *(They got wet, but dried quickly without any problems). They are also very comfortable for everyday walking. Hope this was helpful. . . good luck!
