New Birkenstock Sandals – worn in already, is this normal?

I just bought new Birkenstocks (madrid style) on Saturday. They already have the “worn in” look, with my dark footprint embedded in the footbed.

Is this normal? I thought it would take some time to wear them in, and am disappointed they look worn out already.

Also, the right foot imprint is much darker than the left foot…is this just because one foot is sweatier than the other or something??

usually it takes a little longer to do this, however if your feet are sweating then this outcome will be normal.

It is summer and with sweaty feet that will happen. Any shoe with a suede footbed or light footbed will show your footprint.
