I ve never worn Birkenstalks before so I dont know how these compare. Atfirst I was very dispointed because they felt like they dont have any cushioning. After several weeks then are comfortable but well there still isint much cushioning for wearing all day.

Just got my delivery from UPS.
Workmanship appears to be good.
Quality of the leather is OK, uniformly died. My feet itch where they touch the straps. Me or the shoes?
Newalks run narrow, I placed them back to back with my 44M Birkenstocks. The Newalks are between 1/4 to 3/8 inch narrower than the exact same size Birkenstocks.
IMHO:
the Birk M = D-E width
Newalk M = C-D width.
My feet are a solid size E width, so in the end I may return these. Loosening up the straps helps, but the foot bed is still too snug.
Honestly, I would have gladly paid the extra $5 if Newalk would make the width the same size and an extra $5 for better leather.

Service on this shoe was great!! Would buy from this dealer again. Have worn Betula’s for years and can not find them any more, decided to try Newalk. I see no difference. I am very satisfied.

When I began working as an RN in a busy Emergency Department I was quickly diagnosed with plantar facitis and the podiatrist recomended that I buy a pair of Birkenstocks to wear around the house (we have hard wood floors) and slip them on as soon as I woke up (rather than walk around barefoot). Wearing them along with stretching relieved my symptoms in a few weeks. I haven’t worked as a nurse for a few years, and my “house” Birkies finally broke after 13 years and I didn’t replace them until now. These are a GREAT price and feel just like my old Birkies which cost a LOT more money! It’s a great deal and my feet are so much happier!
