Talk about the libs cannibalism – LMAO!!… WHOLE FOODS!!! The bastion of the Birkenstock crowd, among the MOST responsible, community friendly, organic, give back organizations in modern America, and the libs are in full Alinsky/ACORN assault mode; boycotting, manufacturing demonstrations and throwing temper tantrums cuz the Whole Foods CEO has the cajones to DISAGREE with 0bamacare and

Does this finally PROVE that the libs’ goal is to establish government run 0bamacare, NOT about reforming healthcare insurance?

Power is their goal,
What’s really sad is they think they’ll hurt the CEO by boycotting Whole Foods, but in all reality, if they are successful and business goes down, the employees will be the ones who suffer. Pretty selfish if you ask me.
If the guy wants to piss on his customer base he gets what he deserves.
Do you think anyone will call them an un-American mob trying to stifle dissent and free speech?
. . . that is a plan I can get on board with. . . if this was Obama’s plan, I would be all for it. . . but I feel the way you do, the Idiot in Chief and the Axis of Idiots are just looking for more control of the people. . . the plan Mr Mackey has came up with would work and benefit all Americans. . . not just 3%. . .
There are two points to address here. The first is your exaggerated claims that ‘liberals’ are throwing ‘temper tantrums’ about the ideas presented. I have seen ZERO evidence of that. Do they agree with them? Possibly not, but are they throwing temper tantrums? No.
Now, on the substance of the ideas. Quite frankly, I think most of the ideas presented are very tiny tweaks. Make health plans deductible, that sort of thing. That will do almost nothing to help the 40 million who have no insurance now. Tort reform to reduce malpractice suits? Sure, great idea, but in truth, malpractice suits overall cost the economy less than 2% of medical costs. Sure, for some specialties it’s expensive, but looking at the overall picture, it’s not that big of a deal, and again, that won’t help the 40 million uninsured.
I don’t see any ideas there that are really BAD, but I also don’t see how any of that will help the majority of the people who need help. I can certainly agree with his opinion that more spending is not sustainable, and I don’t really have a solution for you, but SOMETHING has to be done.
They constantly complain that nobody is coming up with a solution and lo and behold when someone does come up with a viable solution it is shot down and bastardized. !st rule of Obama: there shall be no plan before or after mine. He knows best ya know. How open minded.
They oppose it because it means they would have less of your money to spend, less control over the choices you make, and because it makes more sense than anything the gov’t has proposed thus far.
They need more power so they can cram more socialism down our throats. They forget that socialism only works as an idea and ultimately fails when you “. . . run out of other people’s money. ” (Margaret Thatcher)
Of course, this rational proposal would help Independents, Democrats, Republicans AND Libertarians- not just the 3% they want to focus on. . . this proposal is INTOLERABLE!!!
John Mackey’s proposals seem reasonable to me. He has the right to express his opinion just like anyone else. Going by the reaction he’s getting, it would seem that reform isn’t the goal.
It proves that the liberals are not open to an alternative, non-government controlled option. It’s either Obama’s plan or you are the enemy.
